About SDIVADesigns Crafting Tutorials

With over 40 years of experience in sewing, knitting and crafting with Brother, Juki, Baby Lock, Silhouette, Cricut, GCC Puma, ScanNCut, Sure Cuts a Lot, Adobe software and others, I can help you master your craft.

I believe that crafting should be fun!

That said, I know first hand how intimidating getting a new tool can be.

You don’t want to spend all your time figuring out how to do stuff.

My video tutorials are designed to help you from thinking through an idea for a craft to the final stages and everything in between. I teach you how to find the images and files you need, how to work with them to get the result you want and then how to go through the cutting, printing and putting together of your project. I hold your hand and show you all the steps.

It isn’t enough just to have a bunch of videos available to you. You want to know that you will find answers to your questions and solutions to your problems as quickly as possible. I don’t spend the first 30 minutes of my videos talking about all kinds of other things. I get down to business because time is valuable. Everyone has more important things to do!

That said, even though I get to the point as quickly as possible, sometimes you just don’t have time to watch a whole video to get what you need.

This is why all my latest videos have timestamps and chapters so you can jump right to the section that contains the help you need, but you also don’t missing anything that could be helpful to you.

You can pause the videos and watch or follow along at your own pace. You can save them and go back to them later.

If you’re a beginner or have been crafting for years, my tutorials can help you get started or refresh your memory.

Let me help you learn. Soon you will feel proud of your creations and people will be asking YOU how you made that.

If you need more personal help, I am always available to help. You can click here to send me an email.

Hello Karen - Just wanted to say “Thank You”. I realize you made this video a while ago but it was the best first setup instructions I’ve seen!! So much so that I am Subscribing to your channel. You are a great teacher. Precise and to the point and you make sure to go over even the little details so many others tend to miss. Thanks again.

Magic method for alternating skeins in the round
Sue Seifert

I am exactly where I needed to see this. Whoa! I am so excited. I was so worried about having that "strip" on the back, because the finger weight summer shirt I am making would show through. Thank you! I credit you with making my first form-fitting sweater a success ... when it is finished!

Love Evernote! I have been using it for years. I do find it easier for me to do this with my phone and just take my own photos. There is a cool option within Evernote to do this. Very concise tutorial.

Glitter HTV (heat transfer vinyl) project
Sally Snowball

This was the BEST vinyl video I've seen. I have the Cricut iron-on unit since it first came out and I couldn't figure out how the different vinyl's worked. THANK YOU. THANK YOU. THANK YOU. I have just one question - How does one know which vinyl needs to be removed when hot and which when cold after iron-on application.
