How to organize your pantry using your Silhouette Portrait

Organizing my pantry was a daunting proposition until I got my Tupperware Modular Mates.

So… I received my new sets of Tupperware containers and got them all washed and ready.

I already have a bunch of containers with labels in the font I use. These include Modular Mates, spice shakers, Oxo containers and various others. I wanted to have a consistent look across all these different types of containers so I used my label maker and vinyl decals in the same font.

The images below show the process of emptying the pantry, filling containers with the various foods and then applying the decals and labels.

I set up my cutting files in Silhouette Studio and then cut them with my Silhouette Portrait using black Oracal permanent vinyl because these containers will be washed often. If you have a Silhouette or Cricut cutting machine and would like to have my files with my text decals, you can download them here. The zipped file contains the studio and SVG versions of the file.

If you don’t have a cutting machine and would like me to make decals or spice shaker labels for you, just contact me.

The next series of images shows my spice shakers. I already had quite a few of these, but had ordered more with my Modular Mates.

I used my Brother PT-D600 label maker to make the labels for my spice shakers. I used a 12 mm black tape with white lettering to make sure they could be read easily. I buy compatible tapes on Amazon because they are so much less expensive (links below).

The software for the label maker is the P-Touch Editor which you can download from Brother’s website.

The images below show my finished pantry as it looks today. This makes it so much easier to find things, but also keeps all these items fresher for longer. By the way, one of the things I really love about the modular mates is that you can fit a measuring cup into them, even the low-profile super oval ones.

Notice the Avocado and Olive oil bottles in the lower left. I will have a blog post on those soon.

My Tupperware rep’s name is Sherri Novak. She lives in Vaudreuil and has a lively Facebook following. You can check out her page here.
